Now Hiring: Centre County Gazette Full-Time Advertising Sales Representative

The Centre County Gazette is seeking a motivated and results-driven Advertising Sales Representative to support the continued growth of our publication, Centre County’s only full-service weekly newspaper.

Published each Thursday, the Centre County Gazette delivers balanced, comprehensive coverage of local news, community events, and sports, including Penn State and Centre County high school athletics. The Gazette is free and widely accessible at more than 400 locations throughout the county.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell advertising space in the Centre County Gazette and related publications to local businesses and organizations
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand and support their marketing and growth goals
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets by promoting advertising opportunities and solutions
  • Manage accounts receivable, including timely collection of outstanding invoices and responding to billing inquiries
  • Attend networking events and community functions to build relationships and generate new business opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in advertising sales or a related field
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Familiarity with the local business community and advertising landscape is a plus

Compensation:
Total compensation range of $75,000–$80,000 annually, including commission
